Who am I?

Introducing myself

Hello, I am Ishina Goburdhun-Bhurtun. Originally from Mauritius, i have stayed in Joensuu from the last 5 years. I come from a multiracial country and my religion is Hindu. I speak many languages; my mother-tongue is Mauritian Creole and official language in Mauritius is French and English. I also speak Hindi, Bhojpuri and a little Finnish language.

About my academic background, I have studied my bachelor in Accounting in UK from Oxford Brookes University and have work experiences in auditors and assistant accountants. After getting married, i moved to Finland where my husband is staying and i learned Finnish language for around six months. Afterwards, i studied BBA in international business from Karelia University of Applied Sciences and just after graduating from Karelia UAS, i started my Masters in International Business and Sales Management at University of Eastern Finland in Kuopio Campus. I am currently at the end of my thesis finalising and hopefully looking forward to graduate by the end of this year.

My hobbies often vary but i basically love traveling, shopping, watching serials and do creative works. There were times when i was learning to do knitting through You-Tube and made 2 skirts by crochet. Moreover, i learned to bake and decorate cakes in You-Tube and that was once my favourite hobby. I love the teaching job and this is the reason for doing the Teacher Education course in Oulu. My dream is to have my own clothing shop one day.
